What this tool actually knows
Two different layers. Two different levels of certainty.
Hidden Unicode is directly observable. A model-level statistical watermark is not exposed as a simple character and cannot currently be verified by this independent tool.
Anthropic says heavy editing, paraphrasing, translation, or mixing can leave no detectable mark. That is a limitation of detection—not proof that a third-party tool removed a watermark.
